Develop/maintain corporate safety and health programs and objectives and coordinate safety-training programs. Monitor safety and health regulations and provide support to employees to ensure compliance with federal and state safety and health regulations.
- Setup tool box talks and documenting them when they come back.
Site inspections and documentation of the site inspection.
Setup site specific safety plans for each job-site.
Setup and administer Safety Committee Meetings and document.
Attend Risk Control Meetings for our Captive Insurance
Schedule training and track employee training records.
Initial employee orientation training for safety & ongoing safety training for all employees (i.e. site specific, OSHA, 1st Aid/CPR, etc.)
Job specific safety board and evacuation procedures.
Work with selected Occupational Health Clinic for Pre-Employment, Random and Post Accident drug screening.
Annual DOT truck records for Trucking and Pre employment Documentation for Truck Drivers.
Workmen’s Compensation – work with selected insurance carrier on initial 1st report of injury and follow up on employee injury, document all information. Also, report any G.L., Fleet, Property or Equipment claims.
Enter all Workmen’s Compensation recordable injuries in the OSHA 300 Log
Purchasing Safety supplies.
Budget for Safety and trainings.
Working with OSHA for site inspections/citations
Be present for any OSHA inspections.
Develop annual company safety and health goals
Maintain corporate safety library (i.e. videos, regulations, reference manuals, SDS, etc.)
Understand federal and state occupational safety and health regulations and monitor regulatory changes as they occur.
Audit records to ensure compliance with company programs and outside contractor’s programs
Oversee Risk Management Enrichment Program
Organizing and coordinating our quarterly and annual safety award events
